"I have been a patient of Dr. Boyd's for many years. I have always been impressed by his friendly demeanor and the amount of education he provides."
"After LASIK surgery in early 2009, I was allowed to follow up with Dr. Boyd since my surgeon was not local. Since the operation, I had significant symptoms over the next four months. While I was having these challenges with my vision, Dr. Boyd would frequently assess and evaluate what needed to be done. He would stay open late in the evenings and even came in on his day off so that he and I could meet with my surgeon to decide the next treatment plan. Despite a lack of improvement; Dr. Boyd didn't give up. He consulted peers and did research until an appropriate treatment was identified and the problem was resolved. As it turned out, I had a very rare reaction that occurs approximately 0.4% of the (approximate) on million LASIK cases done each year."
"I worry to think where my vision would be right now if it were not for Dr. Boyd. It's atypical to find this caliber of knowledge, advocacy, professionalism, and humanity all within one practice. We are very lucky to have him in our area."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Boyd's since 1996, and at the age of 6 ½, he diagnosed me as amblyopic in my left eye. Amblyopia is a decrease in vision. My eye was so severe I would have lost all vision within a couple months. Dr. Boyd explained to my parents what was happening and the next steps that needed to be taken. He sent me home with an eye patch as well as exercises for my eye. Three to four weeks later my eye crossed over. My parents immediately called Dr. Boyd. He had us come to his office and after a thorough examination; I was then diagnoses with esotropia, or turning in of the eye. Surgery was recommended but before he gave us a referral he had me continue doing eye exercises until he thought I was ready. After doing the exercises, he recommended me to an eye specialist, Dr. Bloom. Dr. Bloom explained that the surgery would only fix my crossed eye, not my vision. He also told us without the exercises that Dr. Boyd had me do, surgery would not have been possible. Each visit to Dr. Bloom after my surgery was a miracle, because my vision continually improved. My improvement did not stop when my visits to Dr. Bloom stopped and I went back to see Dr. Boyd. Each visit brought good news. Upon my last visit to Dr. Boyd this year, we learned that I now have 20/20 vision with my contacts, something we all thought was not possible 13 ½ years ago."

"One of the scariest times in a parent's life is when they hear of an injury to their child that may threaten his or her eyesight. That is exactly what happened to my wife Kate and I when we heard our son Tommy was shot in the eye with an air-soft pellet gun. When we were in need, Dr. Boyd provided immediate care and attention. Through his diligent and professional efforts we are well on our way to having a good outcome to a very difficult injury. The attention and skill provided by Dr. Boyd were second to none. Jamison has our highest recommendation!"
